Tirta Cliff Estate

Pavilion living on the Bukit cliff edge — ironwood, volcanic stone, and a pool that pours toward the surf line.

The architecture

70 m clifftop above the Indian Ocean

Six open pavilions step down the cliff, connected by frangipani courtyards. Roofs of reclaimed ironwood shingle float over walls of hand-cut paras stone. The architecture asks for no air conditioning in the living spaces — the trade wind does the work.
